William "Wink" Warren
Percussion, VocalsBorn in upstate New York, 1949.
Started my musical interests about the age of five. Played snare
drum in Jr. and Sr. Drum Corps for most of my summer vacations
during my teenage years. I was involved in Band, Orchestra and
Chorus in my Jr. and Sr. High School Years. Joined my first real
Band in 1967. Toured most of the State Colleges and Ivy League
Universities, in the northeastern part of the United States.
Attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, studied under Alan
Dawson the summer of 1970. Moved to Florida in 1972,
toured the night club circuit until the middle eighties. Then
joined up with “A Tribute To The Blues Brothers”, and soon after
that took over the business part. Later became the “Official
Blues Brothers of the Chicago Bears Football Club," for over a
decade! We did shows all over the U.S.A. opened for Bo Diddley,
Cher, Kool and The Gang to name a few. Other groups that I
opened for while playing drums were, Sly and The Family Stone,
Rod Stewart and Small Faces, Ides Of March, Buddy Miles Express,
Ronnie James Dio,Gary U.S. Bonds etc.. After playing the part of
“Elwood Blues” my passion for drums sparked my desire to play
drums once again!
I became involved in the music program at Van Dyke Methodist
Church, singing in the choir and playing drums as a substitute.
While still performing as “Elwood Blues” I am Blessed to be with
“The Mainstream Band” and lovin' every minute of it, and so will
you!!
I want to thank my wife Hollie and my daughter Kayla for
their sacrifice in this great adventure!

Sammy Martinez
In the summer of 1989, Sam Martinez picked up
the bass for several reasons. First, his previous hobby, remote
control helicopter, became a virtual financial black hole, and
secondly, “4 strings… how hard could it be?” That launched a
musical quest that is far from over. In college, ORU, Sam worked
mostly with a mission’s minded church that would “tour” Mexico
during spring breaks, which gave him his first taste of combining
missions and music. A combination that he would latter be
passionate about. Kinda like chocolate with peanut butter.
During his stay at ORU, Sam also played in university basketball
band. In his sophomore year, he decided to follow the urging to
go into music/missions full time with Youth With A Mission.
During his time with YWAM, he played with several different bands,
both domestically and internationally. In 1996, musical
professionalism became a priority. Sam attended the Players
School of Music in Clearwater from 1996 to 1997; where he had the
opportunity to intern with jazz great Jeff Berlin. He would later
go on to teach at the Players School on and off for several years
after. The desire to be a part of an original project moved Sam
to take himself, and his belongings, to Las Vegas, where he met up
with some friends from YWAM. He still works with the team from
Vegas (baby!) as they hold many worship conferences in different
locations nationally and internationally throughout the year.
Since being back in Florida, Sam still works a professional
musician in the local central Florida area. Playing with several
different projects ranging from variety bands to Latin jazz, music
remains God’s gift and the love hasn’t faded.

day, and Mainstream at night. I challenge anyone to stand in front
of this Band and not have an urge to get down. I love my
Family! I love my Wife! I love my Friends! I love my Life!!!!!!!
